Welcome to a wonderful property. The house was built in 2002 and inspired by my dogs, Zolette ( my Wirehaired Pointing
Griffon and Zabo, a Komondor). The property (which I call home) is available for short term rentals as my job requires
that I spend a lot of time traveling.
In 2002, we cleared land and I designed and built a house on March's Pond in New Durham, New Hampshire. The
house was sited and designed to be enjoyed during all four New England seasons .It is a waterfront property surrounded by
trees and offers much privacy.
In addition to photos and video of the property, this site contains information about the New Durham area and the New
Hampshire Lakes Region. I invite you to browse the entire site. It is written from the perspective of a Bostonian in New Hampshire
experiencing small town rural life. From 2002 to 2005, we were welcomed into the community as "weekenders". New Durham seems
to welcome new blood, the summer folk, the fall hunters, the winter ski buffs. After 2005, we spent enough time here to really
participate in the community and put the finishing touches on the land. It is too beautiful to spend a single night vacant!!

Over 100 things to do in New Hampshire
March's Pond is a 72 acre pond
of pristine spring fed water. No motorboats are allowed and there is no public access to the Pond. Easy to find, the pond
and property is approximately three miles from the crossroad known as New Durham, New Hampshire. The pond is home to Loons,
ducks and Large Mouth Bass. We have a new Fiberglass canoe as well as an older canoe. Life vests for both people and dogs.
Let me be truthful, the transition from the noise of night air traffic to the sounds of Loons is not easy. Some nights I longed
for the silence of the city. Between the Loons singing, the coyotes yipping, sleep does not come easily. If you
think you might like to spend a week or long weekend here, please contact me. I can't rent to groups because the house is
open concept and the entire third level is just open space with one King size bed. There are inflatable beds suitable for
children and also an inflatable bed in the little outbuilding at the edge of the water. I'm not really in the rental business,
just a shame the property is not being enjoyed when we're in Boston.

Going on vacation with your dog strengthens your bonds and gives you many precious memories. John Steinbeck once wrote
"Many a trip continues long after movement in time and space have ceased."

New Durham, New Hampshire |
A four-season get-a-way on the unspoiled southern shore of March's
Pond, the location combines the charm and tranquility of rural New Hampshire with a gourmet wine and cheese
shop , a beauty shop whose owner, stylist rivals any on Newbury Street and a public library that
would be the envy of much larger communities.
Conveniently located less than two hours from Boston and less than one hour to the seacoast and the White
Mountains, New Durham's location is perfect. Last time I drove up from Boston I got here in one hour and forty five
minutes. And I didn't speed.
The locals love to share their local knowledge and will happily suggest local events and attraction. This
summer there have been fireworks, concerts, arts and craft fairs, antique car shows, fishing derby, town wide yard sale, and
the list goes on.
Days are for swimming, boating, fishing, hiking or just relaxing. Nights are for camp fires, star
gazing (a novelty for city dwellers),visiting with friends. And playing on the computer.
Golf, hiking, biking, fishing, sailing,
canoeing, kayaking birding, skiing, skating. It's all here. I love the beauty of traditional New England architecture,
old barns and farmhouses. In the Spring the are woods filled with Lady Slippers, giant Jack In The Pulpits and baby
animals. ( anything but porcupines please!)
I
marked the maple trees with pink ribbons and intended to make my own maple syrup. Discovered in February the crows
had taken the ribbons. I didn't know which trees to tap with being able to see the leaves..
Fall brings fabulous colors,
country fairs and the harvest. And I am always amazed at the excitement of winter in New Durham. It could well be the
most popular season. New Durham provides access to miles and miles of snowmobiling and cross-country ski trails. Nine
miles down the road in Wolfboro is the Abenaki Ski Area – a destination for the downhill skier, snow boarder and cross-country
skier. Or a few more miles . will get you to Gunstock Recreation area.
March's Pond is a
great home base from which to enjoy these excellent downhill ski areas.
